Kathu, Kuruman, Deben, Hotazel, Black Rock, Daniëlskuil, Lime Acres, Postmasburg, Olifantshoek and surrounding villages.

The debating team from Wrenchville High School competed from 24-26 August in the SAASTA National School debate Northern Cape Provincial finals. At this competition they became the first non Kimberley school to win the competition. They will represent the province at the national finals in Pretoria from 1-3 October where the national champions win a trip to USA for a week.

 

The SAASTA National Schools Debates Competition is one of the flagship projects that provides learners with an opportunity to develop their research, critical thinking, and information literacy skills, as well as their ability to work as a team to present logical arguments. Amongst the objectives of the competition is to build science communication ambassadors out of learners through researching and debating of high-level scientific topics. The competition, established in 2008 is implemented in all 9 provinces.
