Tshepa Basadi Career Fair and Motivational Talk

On 6 November 2020, Tshepa Basadi visited Gamagara High school in Deben.

The Tshepa Basadi young professionals received an opportunity to speak to the learners about their career paths and provided helpful tips on how learners can build resilience and persevere regardless of the various challenges faced by today’s youth.

Thabile Nkomo, director, said: “Education is a passion project for our organization, we value the role that it has played in our personal and professional development. This is why we started the Tshepa Basadi annual school event in 2019. These events are meant to provide career guidance and motivation for the learners in our communities. We found it prudent to continue this tradition especially during such unprecedented times.

2020 has been a difficult year for our learners. None of us can imagine the emotional toll it has taken on learners and teachers to recover the learning time lost during lockdown. We felt that it was important to provide them support, to let them know that we care about their education and success.”

Tshepa Basadi donated, The Answer Series, Mathematics and Mathematical literacy study guides for the grade 11 and 12 learners.

We hope that this will encourage them to learn and work hard to achieve their academic goals.
