The Democratic Alliance (DA) political party on 12 April 2026 announced the results of the party’s leadership elections which had taken place at the elective Federal Congress 2026 held at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg, from 11-12 April 2026.

This congress was the largest in the history of the DA and reflected both the continued growth of the DA and its institutional maturity as it prepared for the year ahead.

The results of the elections were as follows : Geordin Hill-Lewis (Federal Leader),

Solly Msimanga (Federal Chairperson), Siviwe Gwarube (1st Deputy Federal Chairperson), Cilliers Brink (2nd Deputy Federal Chairperson), Solly Malatsi (3rd Deputy Federal Chairperson), Ashor Sarupen (Chairperson of the Federal Council),

Deputy, JP Smith (1st Deputy Chairperson of the Federal Council), Thomas Walters (2nd Deputy Chairperson of the Federal Council), Carl Pophaim (3rd Deputy Chairperson of the Federal Council) and Dr Mark Burke (Chairperson of Federal Finance).
