
The Kelebogile Trust was established in 2015 by Liciastar after being contracted by Kathu Solar Park to design and construct the 100 MW Concentrated Solar Power Plant in the John Taolo Gaetsewe (JTG) district.
Funded by the engineering and construction firms Sener and Acciona Industrial, Kelebogile Trust is a non-profit organisation aiming to be one of the leading developmental partners in poverty alleviation in the Northern Cape.
Since 2015, Kelebogile Trust has been empowering the local communities, enhancing educational issues, promoting skills development, and stimulating and capacitating small, medium and micro-enterprises (SMMEs).
The overall budget to be spent or invested by 2019 is R29 300 000 to implement sustainable development programmes in education, socio-economic development and enterprise development.
To date, Kelebogile Trust has completed over thirteen projects with more than 19 000 beneficiaries from JTG communities. These projects were as follows :
The provision of modular classrooms, ablution facilities and furniture to the Sishen Intermediate School, the Deben Primary School and the Hotazel Combined School.
Basic emergency ambulance assistance training to 13 students from JTG.
The donation of a solar panel to Ba’one Intellectual Disability School with 83 students.
The 2017 JTG Schools Soccer Cup.
The 2017 JTG Youth Soccer Tournament.
The delivery of toiletries and printing paper to grade 12 camp students benefitting 1140 students.
The award for the top performing student at the Kuruman College.
The installation of an internet connection at the Kathu TVET College.
Mandela Day Project 2017 : Renovation of a burnt down house in Deben.
Mandela day project 2018 : Donation of a dining table with 4 chairs and a bar fridge to an elderly woman who had turned a 100 years old.
Providing school furniture to Phakane High School, Maikaelelo Primary School, Mapoteng Primary School and Kudumane Primary School
16 Days of Activism project : The upgrade of victim rooms at local police stations.
Sponsorship for participation in the Kalahari Karate Winter Challenge benefitting 22 disadvantaged youth from the Gasegonyana local municipality
The trust will continue to complete and implement new projects during 2018 and 2019.

Bursary project for 31 students from the JTG district.
SMME development of 75 entrepreneurs from JTG : 25 from each of the 3 local municipalities.
Donation of new school uniforms for 18 schools in JTG.
A sanitary towel drive benefitting 9 400 female learners.
Early childhood development training of 60 practitioners.
The construction of grade R facilities at 3 schools in JTG.
The construction of a student residence at Kathu TVET College.
Artisanal training for up to 300 general workers.
