The Ga-Segonyana ANC councillors felt obliged to pay a courtesy visit on January 3, 2019 to the world renowned artist, author and historian. The visit according to the mayor was simply to remember the elderly man and the good work he has done through the rare gifts vested upon him.

Mr Mutwa aged ninety-eighty and frail still has his faculties up to scratch as his wife Virginia still could tell her that special visitors were just about to arrive and nodded his head in approval. Not only was that enough, after the mayor councillor Neo George Masegela had briefed them about the purpose of their visit, Mr Mutwa audibly but frailly blessed the briefing with words of wisdom, his real legacy characterised with Jesus Christ quotes, a satisfactory proof that while the flesh is now rebelling; the spirit is still willing to execute his fame.

The mayor was bold enough that it was an imperative to let the elders in the area and beyond know that this is an election year and as such prayers become a defining factor for their success. The wife of Mr Credo Mutwa, Virginia equally gave important message to the collective councillors and then the mayor specifically regarding their expectations as community members. Top in her agenda was the desire to meet the mayor who also doubles as regional chairperson of the ruling party.

All her words were emboldened in a humble tone and motherly in advice. In response to the briefing the mayor said that he appreciated the manner in which issues were raised and as council would deliberate further to ensure the pertinent challenges faced by the elderly couple were looked into expeditiously to restore their dignity and self-esteem.
