The High Schools Division’s 4th edition came to an end on 31 August 2019.

Four schools namely, Gamagara High School, Sishen Intermediate Mine School and Baitiredi Tech & Comm School participated in the league. The two schools that made it to the finals last year, faced each other again in the finals this year. Kathu High School and Baitiredi Tech & Comm School showed their dominance in the league. At the end of the day, Baitiredi Tech & Comm School stamped its authority on the basketball court by demolishing Kathu High School in the finals.

On 7 September 2019, the trials for the JTG basketball teams took place in Kathu. This event was blessed by a good turnout of youth who came to show off their basketball skills. During the trials youngsters were exposed to tough physical strength tests and basketball drills. Eventually players were selected that are going to represent JTG District in the trials for the provincial team later in quarter 4 of 2019.
