Great Ghaap Road arts and craft exhibition

The Great Ghaap Road was a cultural event held at Die Mynhuis Restaurant in Daniëlskuil on Friday 23 October 2020. This was the first post-lockdown event held there, and more events are planned for the future.

Khadi African Wines of Mothibistad presented a wine tasting of “traditional African wine” – both sweet and dry varieties that satisfied everyone’s palate. 

Several crafters and artists from Kathu and Mothibistad presented their work. This included Wannop Dehwe of Kathu with his stone work; Bonolo Masita’s crafts and creations from three young artists, Mandla Melamu, Bophelo Sephiri and Boemo Gaobusiwe.

The sponsors of the event, the Karoo Development Foundation, are planning more activities for crafters who form part of the Go Ghaap Route in future.
