In 2015 the school choir of Ratang Thuto High School in Boichoko Postmasburg started to participate in eisteddfod competitions

with Mr. Lenka Kgakatsi as conductor and coordinator.

The choir won that year the district eliminations and came second at provincial level. The next three years, 2017 – 2019, the choir was on fire and represented the province at national competitions at Randburg. 

This year the choir was invited to the choirs’ annual function in Namibia; they unfortunately could not go because of financial constraints. Mr. Kgakatsi would like to thank all the sponsors – especially Jasper Solar and Beeshoek Mine for their contributions during the course of the competitions. He is also grateful to Mr Banda who was assisting him whenever he could – not forgetting the learners (nightingales) who
