Born and raised in Bendell Kuruman, Tshepang Terrence Gabohete’s passion for sport and his community inspired him to create and host the first Rosh’s Annual Tournament during November 2025, which was a huge success.

In preparation for this year’s highly anticipated Rosh’s tournament during November, the first mini tournament was hosted during the weekend of 3,4 and 5 April in Bendell Village.

Local netball and soccer teams competed against each other in various categories for the top 32 spots. Teams from Elendale, Bothitong, Bendell, Dearham, Mothibistad, Mapoteng, Magojaneng, Bankhara, Promise Land, Dikgweng, Cahara and Cassel took part in this fun but competitive weekend of sport.

These preparatory tournaments as well as the annual Rosh’s Tournament aims to promote teamwork, sportsmanship and community engagement in the area. It features exciting matches, prizes and entertainment for the whole family.

Tshepang is dedicated to give back to the community, working closely with young boys to empower them to reach their full potential and make a positive impact in their lives. He has also made a mark in soccer with his football club, Morafo FC, opened a Ladders soccer team and is also planning to launch an Under 15 boys’ team. As a SAFA-qualified professional referee, Tshepang brings expertise and enthusiasm to the field.

This year’s second annual tournament in November promises to be bigger and better, with a jumping castle, games for all ages and a swimming pool. There will also be food stalls, music and entertainment for the whole family.
