Parkrunners show off crazy socks

On 11 April 2026, Kathu Parkrun hosted its 319’th event at the Kathu Equestrian Club in Kathu.

The theme for this event was Crazy Socks and participants enjoyed showing off their crazy socks while walking, running or jogging the 5 km course. Kathu Parkrun is a free weekly event for participants of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7:00 from October through March and at 8:00 from April through September at the Kathu Equestrian Club. It offers an opportunity for the local community, regardless of age or gender, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the outdoors and get physically active. It is free and you only need to register once at www.parkrun.com and bring your barcode to participate.

So, whether you are a complete novice looking to get yourself started or a regular wanting to use this as a part of your training schedule, you are welcome to join the local strollers, runners and friendly volunteers every Saturday.
